Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation (RIOC):  The New York State Legislature created the Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation (RIOC), a New York State Public Benefit Corporation, in 1984 to take over the development and operation of Roosevelt Island.  RIOC is the first independent entity to be solely dedicated to the operations and development of Roosevelt Island, a mixed income community with numerous public open spaces, recreation facilities, and six New York City designated landmark buildings.


LEAD CONSULTANT

FItzgerald & Halliday, Inc. (FHI):  FHI is a planning firm that has provided services to public and private sector clients since 1987 from office locations in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey.  Certified as a disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE)/ women owned business (WBE) in over 20 states, FHI is a firm dedicated to improving the structure, function, connectivity, and overall quality of communities.

Margie Ruddick Landscape:  Margie Ruddick Landscape has been recognized for its pioneering work in landscape architecture since its founding in 1995.  With offices in New York City and Philadelphia, their landscape projects have spanned urban, institutional, and private settings.

 

 

Plan A:  Based in New York City, Plan A was founded in 2015 by architect Aaron B. Schwartz, FAIA.  The firm offers programming, planning, and architectural services to both the public and private sector.


The Project Team will proactively and consistently receive input from the Roosevelt island community.
